Who we are

An AI-native studio with real judgment behind it.

Protomota is a business where automation does the heavy lifting and a human signs off on every shipment. We build our own products, run automation on client infrastructure, and stay on the tools while we do it.

What we believe

The 2020 playbook is fading. Small AI-leveraged teams now outpace twenty-person orgs at a fraction of the cost.

01

The specialist tax

Old org charts hire a specialist for every discipline, then pay again in the handoffs between them. AI lets a generalist cover that ground and erase both costs.

02

Process performance theater

Issue queues, story points, and burndown charts exist to perform progress for people who can't see the work. A small team that can see it doesn't need the show.

03

Agile, back to its roots

Agile isn't dying. The ceremony-heavy version is: certifications, planning poker, ritual for its own sake. What survives is the manifesto's original roots.

04

Tools for a bigger room

The stack we standardized on assumed a dozen hands staying in sync. For a small AI-leveraged team, it's elaborate tooling for a problem that no longer exists.

05

The widening gap

This was never a one-time saving. Teams fluent in the tooling pull further ahead with every month the rest of the market spends trying to catch up.
