How this was made

No photo appears on this page. The phone is drawn entirely by code, using iFixit’s photos and Apple’s service diagrams as a reference for what goes where.

Part shapes and positions are traced by eye to place them in the model. They are not measurements. The hinge is the exception: its two pivot points are worked out from Apple’s published open and closed sizes, so the model lands on both.

Every screw is placed from Apple’s screw diagrams and carries Apple’s part number and torque. Every named chip is placed from iFixit’s chip ID photos. The crowd of tiny capacitors and resistors around them is drawn to look right: nobody has published those, so they are not counted or named.

The chapters follow iFixit’s video. Inside each chapter, the order of the small parts comes from Apple’s repair procedures, because iFixit did not call out every step. iFixit’s repairability score is provisional, and iFixit has not published a Duo repair guide yet.
